Construction Worker Killed in Workplace Dump Truck Accident in Houston, Texas
According to My Fox Houston, a construction worker was killed by a dump truck in Houston, Texas. The accident occurred around 12:25 p.m. Wednesday, January 18 when the 57-year-old unidentified male was directing a dump truck that was backing up at a job site. The truck suddenly accelerated and struck the man, who is reported as being the owner of the construction company. He was pronounced dead at the scene. One Worker Killed, Another Severely Injured in Trench Collapse in Houston, Texas
According to the Houston Chronicle, one man was killed and another seriously injured in a trench collapse at a work site in southwest Houston, Texas. The accident occurred before 7:40 p.m. Saturday, January 7 when a roughly 12 to 15 feet deep trench collapsed around the two men. Forklift Operator Jose Rivera Killed After Machine Tips Over in Denton, Texas
According to the Dallas Morning News, a forklift operator was killed when the machine tipped over in Denton, Texas. The accident occurred around 7:20 a.m. Friday, December 9 when the forklift become stuck in a pothole at the man's workplace. Maintenance Worker Electrocuted Hanging Christmas Lights in Grand Prairie, Texas
According to the Star-Telegram, a 52-year-old man was killed when he was electrocuted while hanging Christmas lights in Grand Prairie, Texas. The accident occurred Friday morning, December 2 when the maintenance worker was decorating the Historic Anderson Building while using a 40-foot ladder. According to several news sources, 6 people were killed and 2 others injured in an explosion at a grain elevator in Atchison, Kansas. The blast occurred around 7 p.m. Saturday, October 29 when workers were loading corn onto a train. The explosion tore a piece of the building off, sitting directly above an elevator at the facility. Killed in the explosion were Bartlett Grain Company workers, 20-year-old Chad Roberts, 21-year-old Ryan Federinko, and 24-year-old John Burke.
