Worker injured in trench collapse.

On March 5, a 25-year-old man from Mexico was working in a trench, installing a storm sewer in Alamo, TX.  He was killed when the trench collapsed around him.  Currently, the accident is being investigated by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.

Construction work is inherently dangerous, but the simple truth is that many accidents could be averted if clients, employers, and other workers would all follow standard safety procedure.  When a worker is killed due to the negligence of another party, the worker's family may wish to file a construction accident lawsuit.  Unfortunately, this is never easy.  I have worked on construction accident lawsuits for twenty years, and I have seen what construction companies are willing to do in order to avoid accepting responsibility for an accident.  But ultimately, the law is on your side.  With the help of an experienced construction accident attorney, you can make sure that those responsible for your family member's death are brought to justice.
