Salt Lake City, UT worker falls off scaffolding and down elevator shaft.

On Monday, March 8, a construction worker was injured when he fell off scaffolding inside an elevator shaft at a City Creek construction site in Salt Lake City, UT.  It took approximately 45 minutes to rescue the man from the shaft and he was rushed to a nearby hospital in critical condition.  His current condition is not known.  Officials are still investigating.

Construction work is often dangerous, but ultimately, many accidents could be averted if construction companies, clients, and other workers would all follow standard safety guidelines.  When these guidelines are ignored and innocent workers are hurt, these workers may wish to file a construction accident lawsuit.  Unfortunately, this is a very difficult task.  In my experience, construction companies will do almost anything to avoid being held liable for an accident.  But the truth is this: the law is on your side.  With the help of an experienced construction accident attorney, you can be sure that those responsible for your injuries are brought to justice.
