Worker in Hermosa Beach, CA accident likely killed.
On Wednesday, March 10, a construction worker in Hermosa Beach, CA fell in a hole at a downtown construction site. According to police, the worker was likely killed, but rescue workers cannot retrieve him because earth is still collapsing into the hole. Officials are still trying to determine the exact cause of the incident and rescue attempts are ongoing.
Construction work is inherently dangerous, but many accidents could be avoided if clients, employers, and other workers would all follow standard safety procedure. When this procedure is ignored and a worker is hurt or killed, the victim's family may wish to file a construction accident lawsuit. Unfortunately, this is a difficult task. I have worked on construction accident cases for twenty years, and I have seen what construction companies are willing to do in order to avoid accepting responsibility for an accident. But ultimately, the law is on your side, and with the help of an experienced construction accident attorney, you can be sure that those responsible for your loved one's accident are brought to justice.
